About
The signing of the partnership agreement for the PIOJ CRP Inter-Agency Network Youth Development Programme on February 4 2021. Partners are: PIOJ, HEART Trust NSTA, NCU, SDC, Hope Programme, Project Management Global Institute.

The Planning Institute of Jamaica’s Community Renewal Programme (PIOJ/CRP), the Social Development Commission’s (SDC) Kingston and St. Andrew Inter-Agency Network (KSA_IAN), have partnered with HEART Trust NSTA; the HOPE Programme of the OPM; Northern Caribbean University; and the Project Management Global Institute to implement the newly designed Inter-Agency Network Youth Development Programme (IANYDP). The programme started in August 2020, as a pilot in the communities of Trench Town and Tivoli Gardens.

The PIOJ’s Director General, Dr Wayne Henry, brought remarks and the President of the Northern Caribbean University, Dr Lincoln Edwards, delivered the keynote address.

A highlight of the event was the signing of an MOU indicating the commitment of the participating entities to continue to work under the CRP’s Strategic Implementation Framework, in the execution of other relevant programmes in its target parishes.

At the launch, the Grace and Staff Community Development Foundation donated digital tablets to participants. These are critical tools that will provide added support to participants, particularly in assisting them with carrying out their assignments.
